Who We Are
We are a citizen-driven, voluntary group of people who believe America can be, and should be, a country where level-headed views work to find compromise and consensus.
We are ordinary people. Our ambition sounds radical right now because it is increasingly uncommon. We don’t think a belief in moderation and cooperation are radical. We think these approaches are ideal.
Our party’s origin and leadership includes moderate policymakers, politicians, and proposed reforms that originated from both major parties.
I helped start SAM because I often feel unrepresented - sitting in the middle, voting with and without conviction. I was done feeling as though there was no viable alternative—a party and candidates who put the country’s interests before theirs.
My goal is to get the word out about SAM as much as possible so that Americans across the nation can see that together we can fight for our country’s best potential.
Director of Operations
I’ve lived in very red and very blue places and always felt powerless to affect change. Seeing the growing divide after the 2016 election made me want to get involved firsthand.
I do a little bit of everything and help steer the SAM ship day-to-day. Come stop by SAM’s Hub in Denver and say hello!
Director & Treasurer
I joined SAM because it gave me hope. Sometimes it seems like politics will just inevitably get worse and worse—but it’s not inevitable, we have a choice. I chose to join SAM to create better options for America’s majority in the middle, and to build a healthier democracy for everyone.
I work on finance and operations for SAM.
I helped start SAM after the 2016 election because I felt our country had bottomed-out politically and was in need of a new party choice focused on integrity and finding common ground.
My focus is to build and grow the SAM brand.
Director & Vice Chairman
I helped start SAM because I believe this nation can and must deliver better government to our citizens. We should strive to leave our children a world with fewer problems, not more. The two dominant parties are only interested in power for power’s sake. There is a better way.
I want to convince people that this can be done — that the two-party monopoly can be disrupted.
When one of SAM’s founders asked me days after the 2016 election to help build a new party that would help elect better candidates across the country I was excited and said yes immediately. Today, increasing numbers of Americans are realizing that the two parties are the problem, driving politics toward the extremes and preventing good candidates from even running. The momentum continues and I’m enthusiastically working both in Texas and nationally.
Our country finds itself at a key inflection point, where we want the future and the past at the same time. Rather than watch the old politics of division continue to play out, I wanted to do something about it. I joined SAM. SAM looks to unite and represent a new majority. I am excited to be a part of it!
I intend to leverage my network to make SAM’s efforts as inclusive as possible. This means honing the message and spreading the word among populations that heretofore have been traditionally underrepresented.
I joined SAM because today’s democracy has left many voters without a voice and has left all Americans with a government unprepared for our nation’s greatest challenges. We deserve better government and better leaders. I believe SAM can help fill that gap.
I joined SAM because I believe in the promise of our nation and the dreams of our Founders. The two party system is broken and endangering the political and economic health of our country. But we can fix that problem and I want to be part of the solution.
I bring commitment, determination, hope and business experience.
As a founder, I want SAM to be a beacon to a new generation of leaders. For too long, our politicians and the two dominant political parties have found safe places in the wrong places. I want to change that by helping to create a new party which will not be beholden to the extremes and will be able to govern for the real majority.
I have a clear sense of the contribution SAM can make to the work being done by countless others and a commitment to make that contribution matter.
I joined SAM because our current party system has removed moderation, collaboration, and compromise from our political landscape.
I bring experience from the frontlines of our criminal justice system, one of the few areas where individuals across the political spectrum have worked together to achieve reform.

Real change happens when people pursue impossible dreams. I joined SAM because I found a group of committed Americans working tirelessly to disrupt the broken two-party monopoly. Our goal is to offer voters more choice in the voting booth.
I bring business management experience along with a little political experience. I also bring an overwhelming desire to get our nation back on track.
